Outplacement support in Huddersfield
We provide outplacement for Huddersfield employers and one-to-one redundancy support for Huddersfield employees, with no end date on the support we give.
Who employs people in Huddersfield
Huddersfield's industrial base is engineering and chemicals. Cummins Turbo Technologies operates a major turbocharger plant on St Andrew's Road, and Syngenta's Huddersfield Manufacturing Centre on Leeds Road has been in production since 1916 and employs around 500 people across a 252-acre site. The University of Huddersfield is one of the largest employers in the town. Huddersfield's fine worsted textile industry is the historical foundation the engineering base grew out of.
Finding work from Huddersfield
Technical and process roles in Huddersfield sit in a small number of substantial employers, so a redundancy at one of them puts several people with near-identical experience into the same local market at the same time. Moving early and differentiating properly matters more here than in a broader market.
